Recruiters are available to answer questions and help prepare recruits for Basic Training and life in the Air Force. They can also advise a recruit on a career that aligns with his or her specific abilities and career aspirations. Job selection is not done by recruiters but by an Air Force job counselor.
Talking to a recruiter does not mean an individual is obligated to join the Air Force or any other Service. The recruiter’s role is to find those who would be a good fit for their Service and give them as much information as possible. Parents are also encouraged to speak to recruiters so they know what to expect after a child enlists.
