Air Force Reserve Mass Enlistment Ceremony
Air Force Reserve

Air Force reservists take the Oath of Enlistment at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Fla. Enlisting in the Air Force Reserve is similar to enlisting in the active-duty Air Force. Recruits must take the Oath of Enlistment and attend Basic Military Training (BMT) at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.

The Air Force Reserve offers many of the same benefits as the active-duty Air Force, with the flexibility to train near home and maintain a civilian career. Reservists are paid for their time and have access to the same professional training as active-duty servicemembers.
