Army

At the graduation ceremony following Basic Training, new Army Soldiers and their parents share their feelings. The graduation gives Soldiers a chance to reunite with their families before heading to Advanced Individual Training (AIT).

At AIT, each Soldier trains for his or her specific job or MOS (Military Occupational Specialty). The length of AIT varies based on a Soldier’s MOS, and some of the courses taken at AIT count toward college credits.
