Army National Guard 2nd Lt. Amanda Morgan participates in her officer commissioning ceremony and is sworn in by her father, an active-duty Army officer.

Morgan began her military career by enlisting in the Army National Guard. Then, to earn her officer commission, she participated in the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) program at Middle Tennessee State University. Her next step is to begin flight school and train for a career as a helicopter pilot.
