Department of Defense

Information Systems Technician 1st Class Frank Agcaoili shows residents of the Jamiyah Children’s Home, in Singapore, a model of the guided missile cruiser USS Bunker Hill (CG 52).

Jamiyah is home to 68 Muslim children between the ages of 3 and 18 who are without parents or whose parents are unable to care for them. After learning that the children were interested in having a model, Petty Officer Agcaoili constructed and then donated the model to the home.

Maintaining positive community relations is a significant part of serving in the U.S. Military. It is not uncommon for servicemembers to visit locations such as the Jamiyah Children’s Home during their deployment.
