As part of its service obligation, the Air Force Reserve 610th Aerospace Medical Flight trained at a hospital in Belcourt, N.D. At the same time, it provided health services to the region.

The Air Force Reserve offers many opportunities for those interested in health care careers. Officer career options include flight surgeon, flight nurse or critical care nurse. Enlisted career paths include dental assistant, aerospace medical service, diagnostic imaging and medical technician.
