Esther: The Air Guard gives me a different take on my civilian life. I've been a nurse for over 17 years, and when I come out here for my drill weekend, I still do my nursing career, but it's a different aspect. I'm doing more teaching, I get to interact with different people in different areas: communication, munitions, food services, so people you would never have been in contact with. You're able to influence and motivate them. And this is different. There's no stress in it. It's a great family, and I feel that when I'm here for my drill weekend, that everybody is here to help each other, and you get that sense of camaraderie.
