An Enlistment Ceremony at Turner Field - Transcript

Announcer: Ladies and gentlemen, please direct your attention to the field for a special presentation. In recognition of Air Force Reserve Night here at Turner Field, we are honored to present to you an Air Force Reserve enlistment ceremony. The group of young men and women on the field before you are reenlisting or about to volunteer their service to our country by being sworn into the United States Air Force Reserve. Airmen stationed locally, but serving globally. The oath of enlistment will be administered by the commander of the Air Force Reserve, Lieutenant General Charles E. Stenner, Jr.

Lt. Gen. Charles E. Stenner, Jr.: Well good evening, ladies and gentlemen. I'm extremely proud to be here tonight on behalf of the United States Air Force Reserve, as a member of the Air Force three components: the Reserve, the Guard, and the Active Duty, you have a very strong representation of this nation's might. The best air force in the world. It's out there doing the mission, defending this nation on a daily basis. We have these young men and women in front of me right now, many of whom are re-enlisting, and coming back for another term. We have the 79 members who have raised their hand to be part of the Air Force Reserve, and I'm proud of each and every one of them, and if there are family members here tonight, you too can be very, very proud of these folks, as they take on the jobs they're about to do, defending your freedoms around the world.
