Accounting, Budget and Finance Careers


To keep track of military spending, Accounting, Budget and Finance enlisted personnel organize and keep track of financial records. They also compute payrolls and other allowances and prepare payments for military personnel. These servicemembers generally work in a typical office environment and make good use of their math skills.

Possible Responsibilities

  • Record details of financial transactions and maintain accounting records
  • Review or audit financial records
  • Disburse cash, checks, advance pay and bonds
  • Organize information on past expenses to help plan budgets for future expenses
