Enlisted Medical and Clinical Technologists and Technicians work with specialized equipment to research, diagnose and help treat medical conditions. These servicemembers work in labs collecting and analyzing specimens or in medical centers and pharmacies dealing with patients. Medical and Clinical Technologists and Technicians must have a mixture of scientific knowledge and people skills to successfully do their jobs.
Possible Responsibilities
- Take patients’ blood pressure and ECG readings
- Help revive heart attack victims
- Construct or repair dental and optical devices (i.e., dentures or glasses)
- Test blood and bone marrow specimens
- Perform autopsies
- Use sophisticated lab equipment
- Prepare and dispense medications
- Conduct CAT scans and X-rays
