Personal and Culinary Services officers help foster a positive work environment and peak physical and mental performance through proper nutritious food preparation and service. These officers create menus, budgets and recreational opportunities for servicemembers and manage the staff of food service and recreational facilities. Military culinary training is equivalent to some of the best civilian institutions, and these officers are called upon to organize gala events as well as everyday meals and activities.
Possible Responsibilities
- Plan and prepare meals for hundreds of servicemembers

- Manage the cooking and serving of food at mess halls
- Maintain nutritional and sanitary standards at food service facilities
- Set standards for food storage and preparation
