Recruits assigned to Oscar Company, 4th Recruit Training Battalion, recently maneuvered through the confidence course, a series of obstacles that challenge recruits both physically and mentally, at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, S.C.
Recruits usually take on the confidence course during the 12th day of recruit training. They must negotiate 15 obstacles that include clambering up and over a two-story log ladder, sprinting to and jumping over a 6-foot wooden structure, climbing a tower using only a rope and tackling various water obstacles.
