What training do Flight Attendants gain in the Military?

All enlisted service members complete basic military training, which includes time spent in a classroom and in the field, and covers tactical and survival skills, physical training, military life and customs, and weapons training. Flight attendants will gain skills through classes and on-the-job experience, including practical experience in aircraft systems operation and maintenance. Further training occurs on the job through actual flying time. Training content may include:

  • Cargo, munitions, and fuel load planning
  • Rescue and recovery operations
