It's a dynamic position that requires a blend of medical expertise, leadership and adaptability because you’re going to be practicing medicine in some very interesting places. And Dr. Winegarner is crushing it! His job isn't just about patient care, it's also about training medics who work in the field, teaching them wilderness medicine and how to improvise with whatever materials are available.
